Deshun started climbing in 2018 after landing his first job out of college. He wanted to find a way to make new friends and stay active, and found that climbing accomplished that and much more. After joining a meetup group, he quickly fell in love with the body puzzle, fitness, and social aspects of climbing. 

After assisting during the Muscatatuck cleanup event, he realized joining the ICC would be a great way to give back to the community that has brought him many great experiences.

When he isn’t rock climbing Deshun enjoys mountain biking, adventure races, yoga, video games, and music.
